Equity Group foundation engaged CAVS towards realising strong business incubation through various ongoing innovation ideas that are immense and can be tapped from student population. Discussions took place at the faculty board room chaired by dean, Prof. Kimenju. Activities of the pilot plant were seen to be of major importance towards this end.

Dr. Oliver Wasonga a lecturer in LARMAT is among the participants attending the 4th Reduction of Post-Harvest Losses and Value Addition in East African Food Value Chains (RELOAD) annual workshop at Ridar Hotel in Mukono from 11th to 17th November, 2016 , Uganda. In Kenya, one focus of RELOAD is on pastoral meat value chains, which is undertaken by the University of Nairobi (Department of Land Resource Management and Agricultural Technology, & Department of Food Technology and Nutrition).The project supports two PhD students in LARMAT Mr. Raphael Lotira and Mr.Bulle Hallo Dabasso are also in attendance.
