The University of Nairobi has received an invitation to participate in the Connected Africa Summit 2026, Africa's premier platform for advancing digital transformation and regional integration. The Summit will be held from 27th to 30th April, 2026 at the Edge Convention, Nairobi, under the theme: Africa Connected: Uniting Africa’s Innovation for an Inclusive Digital Market.
In preparation for this event, we are inviting members of the University community to submit innovative solutions under a special Universities Collaboration category focused on AgriTech & Food Systems. This category aims to highlight the critical role of academic research in generating digitally enabled solutions that enhance productivity, market access, sustainability, and traceability within agriculture and food value chains.
Eligibility and Submission Details:
- Who can apply: Submissions may include student-led projects, faculty-led research innovations, joint initiatives, or university-affiliated spin-offs.
- Selection Process: Following a competitive evaluation, the top two university innovations will be selected and supported to attend and exhibit their solutions to policymakers, investors, and regional stakeholders at the Summit.
