In Unity and Service Prayer devotion

The University of Nairobi had Virtual Inter-denominational Prayer Day 2020.

The virtual inter-denomination prayer day was led by the University Chaplains; Rev. Hosea Mitei, Mohamed Swaleh and Father Peter Kaigua. The reading of the day was from 1Corinthians 12:12-20 - "The body as a unit." The University of Nairobi family is one body, united, combined and integrated in different parts. We are from the same body though we function differently. This were the words from Rev. Mitei who called upon the University of Nairobi family to support , encourage, develop and nurture one another, though we function differently in our departments, we are a unit as University of Nairobi body and we need each other to succeed.

Mohamed Swaleh, the UoN Muslim Chaplain also encouraged the UoN family to be devoted to Allah, PRAY continually, have HOPE for better things to come and be CAUTIOUS during this COVID-19 period.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof.  Stephen Kiama announced that 2020 is the year of jubilee as UoN was inaugurated 50 years ago. This is time to forgive one another, focus on what we can do better going forward and where we have erred, seek for forgiveness.
