The UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Womens’ Education, rewards outstanding practices of individuals, institutions and non-governmental organizations and other entities advancing girls’ and womens’ education. Established by the Executive Board of UNESCO at its 197th session and launched in 2016 with support from the Governments of the People’s Republic of China, the prize awards two Laureates with USD 50,000 each to continue with their work.
It was a very joyous occasion at UoN’s Taifa Hall on Saturday , March 26, 2022 when the UoN Community including The Vice Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama and the Dean Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Moses Nyangito among others gathered together to witness the swearing in of the new team of student leaders.
