Strengthening Partnerships for Agritech Innovation

The Faculty of Agriculture, University of Nairobi, hosted representatives from MZawadi Tech and Shoshin Innovation Hub as part of ongoing efforts to operationalize a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The meeting focused on reaffirming the commitment of all parties to collaborate on key areas of mutual interest. These include the co-creation and co-development of agritech innovations, as well as the co-commercialization of solutions aimed at advancing the agri-food sector.

During the engagement, stakeholders discussed frameworks for joint activities, innovation pathways, and mechanisms for strengthening industry–academia linkages. The partnership is expected to support transformative agricultural technologies and enhance the impact of research and innovation emerging from the Faculty of Agriculture.

The session concluded with all partners expressing optimism about the potential outcomes of the collaboration and the shared goal of driving agricultural innovation in Kenya.
