Collaboration and Partnerships between Experts from Faculty of Agriculture and Universities in Thailand

On 23rd May 2023, The Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Prof Moses Nyangito received Deputy Head of Mission, Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi, Mr Tosark Janpian. Important discussions on forging collaboration and partnerships between experts from Faculty of Agriculture and Universities in Thailand were made. The focus in joint research, technology and innovation development and commercialization, as well as student training and mentorship were discussed at length. These discussions will be continued till a MOU with one leading Agricultural University in Thailand is achieved.

Outstanding Students Recognized and Awarded

Friday, May 5, 2023 at the historic Taifa Hall. Outstanding students from the Faculty of Agriculture were recognized and awarded for their great achievements in academics, innovation, entrepreneurship, and research among other talents. The event was covered live by UNC TV. NAIROBI INNOVATION WEEK 2023 : CALL FOR INNOVATORS AND EXHIBITORS

We are happy to announce that the 7th edition of the Nairobi Innovation Week will take place on 17th - 19th May, 2023 at University of Nairobi's Main Campus Great Court and the Hyssop Parking. 

We are inviting applications from the students, faculties, University of Nairobi alumni, local and international individuals and firms for showcasing and exhibiting their innovations during this great event.

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) is one of the most disruptive and revolutionary biotechnology of 21st century. There are controversies over the benefits and harms that this novel technology is being projected to bring to humans and the environment. These controversies are widely propelled by many challenges such as lack of sufficient information, data, misconceptions, regulations, ignorance and philosophical concerns rather than ethics among others.
