World Food Day - Career Mentorship Day

Faculty of Agriculture, UoN celebrated World Food Day in style. Mentoring students in agriculture on career opportunities and a hand’s on experience on where our food comes from, towards food security. We got our hands dirty. Partnering with the Food Security USA Diaspora Consortium to address challenges in food and water security in Kenya

On Wednesday October 4th, 2023, the Associate. Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Catherine Kunyanga hosted a visit by a team from the Food Security Consortium Diaspora, USA. The team consisted of Dr. Ignatius Kahiu and Eng. Dzombo Mbaru, both Alumnus of the University of Nairobi from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Engineering respectively.

MARKING OF THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF AWARENESS OF FOOD LOSS AND WASTE (IDAFLW) 2023

The University of Nairobi, in collaboration with several organizations including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, will host the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste (IDAFLW) 2023, on 29th September, 2023 in Taifa Hall at 9:00 am.
