FIELD SUPERVISION ON EFFECT OF DEFICIT IRRIGATION ON GROWTH AND YIELD OF MAIZE

Dr. G. Karuku conducted  field extension services in Kiboko Research Station, Makeuni County. The field visit was wonderful with several activities to be accomplished: like Land preparation and leveling, Installation irrigation system and testing its workability, Measurement of initial moisture status and planting.

TRAINING OF OLARE OROK MOTOROGI CONSERVANCY MEMBERS ON SUSTAINABLE RANGELAND MANAGEMENT FOR BETTER LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION AND MARKETING

Dr. Oscar Koech from the University of Nairobi (UoN), Department of Land Resource Management and Agricultural Technology (LARMAT) , trained the management and members of the Olare Orok Motorogi conservancy on sustainable rangeland management for better livestock production. This training was supported by Mara Training Centre for the MMWCA Vocational Training project. Dr. Koech from the University provided the community outreach/extension service.
