UoN @ 50 Webinar: The Impact of COVID-19 on Food systems and effects on food and nutrition security.

The University of Nairobi marks 50 years since it was transformed into the first national University in Kenya on July 1, 1970. 

The University Management has mandated several activities to be included in the golden jubilee celebrations at various levels. One of the activities is holding of webinars on research breakthroughs at the University of Nairobi as well as topical subjects involving local, national and global challenges and opportunities.

The College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences invites you to participate in a webinar 0n 7th Oct 2020 at 2pm.  The  distinguished guests and the panelists will highlight on the key issues relating to the COVID-19 pandemic and the food systems towards achieving food and nutrition security in Africa. These will include various issues from the impact of pandemic-affected food systems, food security, farmers' livelihoods, effects on the economy, and the "new norms" during and post-crisis including addressing the role of technology and innovation.
