As we celebrate Christmas, remember to plant a tree.  Here at the Department of LARMAT, we have assorted tree seedlings of various indigenous tree species for sale at various prices ranging from Ksh. 50 – Ksh. 120 per seedling from Monday, December 20, 2021.

Visiting lecturer Prof. Gor C.O from Jaramogi oginga odinga University held a talk for first years from the department of Agricultural Economics. Prof Gor presented on Agripreneurship.

The University invites you all to join the global community in celebrating this year's World Aids Day on Wednesday ,1st December 2021 at 2.00pm-5.00pm.

The theme for this year's celebration is -END INEQUALITIES,END AIDS ,END PANDEMICS. The celebrations will be held virtually .

The Vice Chancellor ,Prof. Kiama Gitahi will be the Chief Guest. Prof .Omu Anzala and  Dr. Loise Ombajo from the Faculty of Health Sciences will give keynote addresses.

Miss.Africa Digital Program a.k.a Fempower is happy to announce the sixth round of Miss.Africa Seed Funding, for Women Tech initiatives throughout Africa.

Miss.Africa Seed Fund is working towards achieving women's financial inclusion in Africa by supporting women and girls to launch or expand their initiatives in areas of Techprenurship, Innovation and digital opportunities. We have a track record of female financial empowerment in service of more than 12 countries in Africa.

This is to notify the University Community that the Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services in partnership with the University of Nairobi Students Association (UNSA)  will host a High Schools Career Fair & Expo targeting Form 4 students on Friday November 26, 2021.

Visionary science stems from African-led research

The University of Nairobi in partnership with the University of Hohenheim (Germany), Egerton University (Kenya) and the African Technology Policy Studies Network (ATPS), Kenya is participating in a project titled “Strengthening Urban Resilience in Food and Nutrition Security in Kenya” (SURE-FOOD)” sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), funding period: 1 June 2021 – 31 May 2024 (AfResi-Call).

The UoN Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services in partnership with the Institute of Creative and Innovative Ideas (CNI Ideas) wishes to invite all students to participate in an innovation challenge dubbed ‘CNI-UON Innovation challenge’.

 The purpose of the challenge is to discover, encourage and promote creative and innovative ideas among the student population through funding, mentorship, internship opportunities and partnership linkages among others.
