The University of Nairobi, Washington State University, and the International Livestock Research Institute recently received a grant from the United States Aid for International Development (USAID) under the Feed the Future Animal Health Innovation Lab.
The ACE-NCD provides a platform for creation of a long-term strategic network of researchers in African Universities with a focus on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) research. The ACE-NCD builds on the strengths of the core members through a hub and spoke model to strengthen intra-African collaboration, and collaboration between the network and the rest of the world.
This opportunity is provided by the Regional Scholarship and Innovation Fund (www.rsif-paset.org), the flagship programme of the Partnership for skills in Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology (PASET). An initiative by African governments, PASET aims to address fundamental gaps in skills and knowledge necessary for long-term, sustained economic growth in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).
