ARUA Youth Business and Innovation Challenge 2022

3rd Joint African Society of Mycotoxicology & Mytox South Conference

Mycotoxigenic fungi significantly affect the production, safety and trade of agricultural crops in Africa. Despite local and international efforts, the continent is plagued by mycotoxigenic fungi that contaminate crops and cause acute and chronic diseases in humans and animals. The African Society of Mycotoxicology holds a symposium every three years aimed at bringing together all stakeholders to share ideas and expertise in control and management of these toxins.

Evaluating Survey data processing

There is a very good reason to Focus on the Process that Creates the Results. In view of this, training of enumerators is critical for data quality assurance. It is important to ensure that all members of the field team are familiar with the survey purpose, design and protocol. Training provides enumerators with a clear overview of the context, objectives, and relevance of the impact of the survey results.

Study on how Dryland communities can increase drought preparedness

A research team from the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM), Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam visited the Department of Land Resource Management and Agricultural Technology & Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Nairobi on February 7, 2022. The team comprising Associate Prof. Anne Van Loon and her PhD students; Rhoda Odongo, Ileen Streefkerk, and Tim Busker was received by Dr. Oliver Wasonga (lead researcher for Down2Earth at UoN).
