The University of Nairobi wishes to inform all students who qualified for the award of various degrees and diplomas at the end of last academic year (2021/2022) and members of the public, that the 68 th Graduation Ceremony will be held VIRTUALLY on Friday, December 16, 2022 commencing at 8.00 a.m. at Taifa Hall. On 3rd October 2022, Kenya’s cabinet under the leadership of his Excellency President Dr. William Samoei Ruto lifted the 10-year ban on importation of GMOs. Opinion is divided on the move to lift the ban. The proponents have welcomed the move as a long overdue intervention to address food and nutrition security. On the other hand, the opponents are more sceptical about the GMOs positive impact – they are concerned about the health and environmental threats they pose.
